Geography Trip to Imperial College

Year 10 Geographers attended the annual Children’s Christmas Lecture at Imperial College

A group of 18 Year 10 gcse Geography students attended the annual Children’s Christmas Lecture at Imperial College on Tuesday 5th December. The title of the lecture was ‘What’s changing our Climate?’ and the students were both informed and entertained by the lecture which touched on topics such as A temperamental Sun, and the Earth’s wobbly journey around it, violent volcanoes, melting ice caps, cow farts, car engines and Donald Trump. All of these are changing our global climate. But how? And what will be the impact on our planet if we carry on as we are? Will it ever snow again on Christmas day in London, and what other ways could a changing climate impact our daily lives?

The students enjoyed the lecture enormously and were also able to attend the Imperial College Fringe event on ‘Walking in the Air’.
