Ofsted Report

Ofsted (Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills) inspect and regulate schools in order to achieve excellence in the care of children and young people, and in education and skills for learners of all ages. 

Our last inspection was occurred on the 18th – 19th October 2006 where our school was deemed as ‘Outstanding’. Many outstanding schools then receive an Interim Assessment to evaluate whether a full inspection is required.  Gumley House was given an interim assessment in July 2010 where it was stated that we should continue to hold our current status and that further inspection will not be necessary until after September 2011.  Ofsted award schools under four categories as follows:
