Welcome to Gumley House Convent School

"A school that knows where it is going, a school that's proud of where it has been."

Welcome to our website which we hope you find both useful and informative while giving you an insight into Gumley life.  Gumley is a well-established and successful school. Founded in 1841 we have been providing excellence in education and have prepared generations of young women to take their place in the world.

As a Catholic school we have a strong ethos that reflects our Christian values, making our school a vibrant learning community where staff and students learn and thrive together. At Gumley we are committed to the high achievement of all our students, whatever their needs and abilities, from the moment they are welcomed into the school in Year 7 until they leave to go on to university, college or employment. We cultivate success and foster the highest aspirations through excellent teaching, while celebrating the good in every individual.

Please do take the time to explore our new and developing website to find out more about Gumley.

    SUPPORT ELLA WALKER
    Ella is now a FINALIST
    of the national Open-Mic
    competition for your
    singer/songwriter performers.
    She needs YOUR support as
    all winners will record a
    professional music video.

Fight Club is an online battle between 2 videos (in this case mine and another girl's)
Each person has to get as many votes as possible and this is shown in percentages, at the moment I'm on 11% and she's on 86%, so we need to get loads of votes.
If I get 100% by noon on friday, then I win an all-expenses paid trip to Dublin to film a music video and have a documentary made about it.

There is a big downside.... this time Fight Club lasts for 3 DAYS!

This is the MOST important one- it started today and finishes in Friday at 12 noon. We need to pull out all the stops to get as many votes as possible.
I'm losing at the moment, but I reckon tomorrow is the day where we have to rack up the votes!
