Year 10 take part in Dragons Den
In early June the Year 10 Enterprise students were invited to meet with a panel of ‘Dragons’ to pitch their business idea with the potential to acquire seed funding for their new business.
The students had been developing a range of potentially profitable business ideas such as an accessories shop and carwash, in order to learn the practical skills of entrepreneurship and business management.
Our panel of Dragons included Luigia Maddaloni an entrepreneur in hospitality, Daniel Gumpright, consultant form CHP Consulting ltd and 3 staff members; Mr Byrne (Assistant Headtecher), Mrs. Mathew (Head of Business Studies) and Ms. Roberts (Business & Enterprise Manager).
All the judges were highly impressed with the student’s presentations and business skills. Excellent feedback and idea development was given and the students were able to use this advice to improve their business planning and future success.
